The Administrator Role

Users assigned to the Administrator role hold the highest level of authority within the Kyubit Business Intelligence platform.

Administrators possess unrestricted access to oversee and manage every business dashboard, OLAP report, and system setting. By default, the Windows account used to install the software is automatically granted these elevated privileges.

Key administrative responsibilities include:

  • Identity Management: Activate or deactivate users and manage content permissions.
  • Data Sovereignty: Oversee all objects and data source connections for OLAP tools.
  • Role Assignment: Delegate or revoke Administrator rights for other system users.
  • Audit & Compliance: Monitor system health through the Activity Log and troubleshooting tools.
  • License Lifecycle: Manage product licensing and versioning updates.
In standard Windows Authentication mode, every user who connects to the Kyubit BI portal is automatically recognized. While manual addition isn't required, administrators can explicitly control access in the **Administration > Users & Admins** section. Deactivated users are immediately blocked and will receive an "Account Deactivated" notification upon their next login attempt.
To elevate a user's status, navigate to the **Administration > Users & Admins** dashboard. Select the specific user and click **“Set Admin Rights”**. This ensures they have full control over the SSAS reporting tools and the internal SQL database. Conversely, privileges can be revoked at any time using the **“Remove Admin Rights”** option.
