Select columns for OLAP drillthrough action
Dynamic OLAP drillthrough feature available in
Kyubit Business Intelligence OLAP client software gives options to analyst to select which columns from available OLAP dimension hierarchies
will be returned in the list of detailed data (drillthrough results) in the moment prior to drillthrough operation. User is not limited by drillthrough actions defined for the OLAP cube by OLAP cube designer.
If those columns do not satisfy, analyst can quickly edit and select new set of columns to return, to get details he wants.
Dynamic drillthrough feature is available both in
OLAP grid and
OLAP chart analysis.
Most of the time while analyzing OLAP data, analyst observes and analyzes aggregates of OLAP dimensions and hierarchies for some set of measures.
At some point analyst is interested in more details for some aggregate information, which would express detailed information related to OLAP aggreted value,
typically represented by the value in some OLAP grid cell or column/pie/point in OLAP chart analysis.
Drillthrough columns could be saved for later use.
Returned list of detailed data (drillthrough) results can be viewed and exported to Excel file.
