Business intelligence for your Oracle Database

Give business teams self-service reporting over Oracle relational data, with shared metric definitions and deployment under your control.

Kyubit connects natively to Oracle Database. Build a focused semantic model over the data your team needs, then make it available for browser-based analysis, dashboards and recurring reports.

Make established Oracle data useful beyond specialist reports

Finance and operations teams often need the same measures viewed by a different period, department or product group. Kyubit adds a visual analysis workspace over a prepared semantic model, so business users can investigate those questions with familiar names and hierarchies.

Define the reporting scope

Begin with a clear subject area, such as invoice lines, procurement transactions or service activity. Agree which records and business rules belong in the reporting dataset.

Reuse the definitions

Configure measures, dimensions and hierarchies centrally. Use those definitions across analyses and dashboards so each report does not start with another interpretation of the schema.

Control who can use the result

Manage model and content permissions in Kyubit. Decide which users create analytical content and which users consume the saved reports and dashboards.

Model Oracle data visually, one subject area at a time

Connect to Oracle with an account that can read the required source objects. Select a fact table, join the related descriptive tables, and expose the columns that have analytical meaning.

For procurement reporting, a model might connect purchase-line amounts and quantities to suppliers, product groups and an order date. Validate the row grain and totals before extending it to a wider history.

  • Use descriptive business captions for technical column names.
  • Define hierarchy levels that reflect the way departments review results.
  • Keep document references as Dimension Details where appropriate.
  • Check numeric precision, dates and source-specific column mappings during setup.

Establish the source boundary with your Oracle team

Connection and modeling decisions to settle before publishing the first report.
Area What to establish
Connection The Oracle endpoint, service configuration and credentials required by your environment. Test the connection from the Kyubit server.
Schemas and objects Which tables, reporting views or prepared queries expose the approved reporting data. Validate the selected objects in the intended Kyubit workflow.
Business rules How amounts, currencies, statuses and dates should be interpreted. For example, separate transaction currency from a common reporting currency.
Column mappings How the selected Oracle columns map into usable measures, categories and dates. Prepare complex values as suitable relational columns when needed.
Access The source connection's read access and the Kyubit permissions for the processed model and published content.

Give managers a summary and analysts room to investigate

Interactive analysis

Users select measures and dimensions, filter with slicers and drill down through configured hierarchies. They can examine a result by supplier, department or time without asking for a new SQL query for every variation.

Reports, dashboards and distribution

Publish focused Report Views and combine charts with KPI cards on dashboards. Schedule recurring delivery when readers need a regular report rather than an interactive session.

Plan processing around operational and reporting deadlines

Kyubit semantic models process selected Oracle source data into the analytical environment. Align that work with the reporting cycle and the source database workload.

Use full processing for a rebuild, partial processing for a configured period that needs correction, and incremental processing for newly appended data. Finance datasets may need a refresh that reaches back to amended postings, not just the latest transactions.

Confirm that the model has completed processing before a scheduled report is generated. The freshness of a dashboard based on that model depends on the source data imported by processing.

A self-hosted BI layer alongside your Oracle environment

Oracle remains the source system. Deploy Kyubit on Windows/IIS with Microsoft SQL Server for its internal databases, and establish the required network connectivity between the application and Oracle. No vendor-hosted analytics service is required.

  1. PilotSelect a small reporting subject and a known set of totals.
  2. ValidateCheck relationships, dates, amounts and refreshed results.
  3. AuthorizeTest model and report permissions with the intended user roles.
  4. PublishAgree the processing and delivery schedule, then invite readers.

This is a Kyubit solution for Oracle Database data, not an Oracle-branded BI product or a promise of compatibility with every Oracle application schema. Evaluate your own records and reporting requirements during the trial.

Frequently asked questions about Oracle Database BI

Is this Oracle Analytics or Oracle BI software?

No. Kyubit is a separate BI application with native connectivity to Oracle Database. It provides its own semantic modeling, analysis and reporting experience.

Can Kyubit use my existing Oracle relational data?

Yes. Connect the required Oracle source and build a semantic model over the relevant data. Validate your object access, selected column types, relationships and business rules during setup.

Does Oracle data have to be uploaded to a SaaS BI platform?

No. Kyubit can be hosted in your own environment. Selected source data is processed into the Kyubit analytical environment, which you must include in your storage and access planning.

Does the model inherit each user's Oracle permissions?

Do not assume automatic inheritance. The source connection uses its configured identity, while users access models and content through Kyubit permissions. Validate the intended reporting access explicitly.

Can recurring Oracle reports be scheduled?

Yes. Kyubit supports scheduled report and dashboard delivery. Coordinate the delivery schedule with model processing so recipients receive the intended reporting period.
